New Zealand Breast Cancer Symposium (NZBCS) is an international conference, which is organised by The New Zealand Association of Breast Cancer Research (NZABC®) Incorporated every three year. The inaugural NZBCS was held in 2017. The second conference NZBCS-2020 was originally scheduled for November 2020. Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the meeting was postponed till November 2021 when a virtual, shorter online meeting - the virtual NZBCS-2021, was held on Friday 19th November 2021 from 8.00am to 4.30pm.
In May 2022, the Organising Committee reviewed the current COVID-19 pandemic and concluded that it is still too risky to conduct a face-to-face meeting this November while there has been a continued rise in the number of COVID-19 affected cases and deaths every day around the world. As a result, the conventional NZBCS meeting has been further postponed to the next year 2023. We hope that the pandemic will end by then with the current mass immunisation of COVID-19 vaccines being implemented worldwide. We look forward to your continuing support for the upcoming face-to-face meeting NZBCS-2023 in November next year.
